Are you infected with a virus that could cause you to lose your internet connection?

Every computer on the internet is a potential risk for losing its internet connection due to hackers that were running an online ad scam that netted them at least $14 million.

Here is what happened:
– The hackers set up rogue internet servers and took control of thousands of computers around the world. There are 85,000 known victims in the US alone, with most of them probably being home users.
– When the hackers were caught in November, the FBI replaced the rouge DNS system with legitimate servers so that victims could continue to browse the internet without losing their internet connection.
– So far, it has cost the US government $87,000, and the servers are permanently being shut down on July 7 because of the high costs of keeping the servers running.
– Once the FBI servers are shut down, infected computers will likely display a “Page not found” error message when trying to browse the internet.
-To check if you are infected, go to www.dcwg.org and click on “Detect” in the upper left corner.
-Safe computers will get a green logo with the message: “DNS Resolution = Green. Your computer appears to be looking up IP addresses correctly!”
-Infected computer will display a red logo. If you receive a red logo, feel free to give us a call at (516) 665-9313 and we will be happy to remove the virus for you.
